Black soldier fly larvae for pecking 400 g

The soldier fly is a small black wasp. Its plump larva is prized in animal feed, particularly for poultry, because it is rich in proteins (55-60% of dry matter) in lipids (15-35% dry matter) and especially in lauric acid, known for its effect energizing, stimulating on the‘immunity and its effect antimicrobial.
In poultry, these dried insect worms are interesting for support laying laying hens and the growth of juveniles and chicks.
Indeed, it is pure protein, well assimilated by birds of the air and poultry.

Even when dehydrated, this larva remains plumper, fleshy than that of the mealworm, which is particularly crumbly and brittle. It is therefore easier to nibble and better absorbed.

From a sanitary perspective, since the newly hatched wasp does not feed before laying eggs, there is no risk of transmitting possible bacteria or parasites to its larva. This characteristic makes the black soldier fly larva particularly safe from a health perspective.

The color of the dried larvae may vary depending on the batches and the freeze-drying temperature in production, in order to optimize the lauric acid content.
